AZ Cardinals @ OAK Raiders, 7:00pm PST
The Oakland Raiders preseason starts off with a Cardinals team that has fallen short of the playoffs since quarterback Kurt Warner retired. To solve the QB situation, the Cardinals have made a few changes to the offensive line, and traded for Philadelphia's Kevin Kolb, who is expected to start under center for the Cardinals this year. The Cardinals also lost pro-bowl corner Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie in the Kolb trade.
What to look for: OAK - Keep an eye out for training camp standout wide receivers David Ausberry and Denarius Moore. The Raiders have lost Nnamdi Asomugha, arguably the best corner and easily the best defensive player on their team this offseason, and look to fill the gap. The Raiders have given big contracts to cornerback Stanford Routt, free safety Michael Huff, and OLB Kamerion Wimbley, whom the Raiders hope to contribute in 2010. On the offensive side of the ball, look out for former Giants tight end Kevin Boss, who hopes to fill the gap of the promising Zach Miller, who left Oakland for Seattle. Darren McFadden will, of course, carry the bulk of the Raiders offense with Jason Campbell (QB) acting as a game manager and throwing to the speedy Jacoby Ford and Louis Murphy.
